Nardo

The tuberose was domesticated by Mesoamerican peoples long before it reached the gardens of Europe. Its fragrance is so intense that today it is worth more than gold by weight. This candle recalls that flower, in shape and in beauty.

Candles made in Guatemala, where the technique is passed down through generations by Guatemalan women who transform wax into unique objects.

The fire that lights them predates the wax itself. In Maya spirituality it is the way to communicate with the Creator, once offered as ocote pine, today held in wax.
