Clavel

The carnation is native to the Mediterranean and is one of the most resilient flowers once cut. Even when burned, this candle keeps its crown of flowers almost intact. That is why it recalls that flower, in shape and in strength.

Candles made in Guatemala, where the technique is passed down through generations by Guatemalan women who transform wax into unique objects.

The fire that lights them predates the wax itself. In Maya spirituality it is the way to communicate with the Creator, once offered as ocote pine, today held in wax.
